Contextual Marine GIS data
The COWRIE interactive map provides user selectable contextual data layers. The value of collation and management of the marine renewables data is that it allows access to detailed records for licensed areas. The opportunity to set this information in context with other marine data themes on a range of geographic layers will broaden the value of the information. The default view includes bathymetry, countries and a coastal gazetteer. User-selectable sea areas and thematic data can be loaded and the map refreshed to give greater context. A wide range of royalty free data is available from the DTi Atlas of UK marine renewable energy resources that provides further context for the offshore renewables industry. |
