Meteorological data submitted by the Round II developers is released where this is over two years old. Data collected prior to April 2008 is now available online, and you can search for this by development site or by topic.

I would like to take this opportunity to inform you of forthcoming changes to the existing COWRIE led data management system. Existing arrangements, under the COWRIE contract with GeoData Institute are due to come to an end on the 31st of December 2009, and until this time the system will continue to operate as it currently does.

A COWRIE Data Training Course has been announced to take place on the 26th October 2009. The training course will be a long half day starting at 10.30am and will train delegates in the use of the Data Management System. The course is to be held at the GeoData Institute at the University of Southampton.

The Road Map to Data pages have been launched. These pages will provide links and contact details for access to spatial /GIS data relevant to the offshore renewables sector. The Route Map to Data pages can be accessed through the "Route Map to Data" header link within the main menu shown within the navigation bar of the COWRIE Data website.

Data and Reports from surveys carried out at the site of the Westermost Rough offshore wind farm have been added to the COWRIE Data and Information Management System.

The IT development team at the GeoData Institute have developed code that with automatically pick out standard fields from any FGDC format metadata and populate fields within the FGDC standard metadata pages. This includes ESRI FGDC metadata.
